Since 12 years old, Liz has known that residential architecture was a deep seeded passion.  After graduating from Clemson University in 1996 with a BA in Design, Liz soon escalated her knowledge and love for homes with an award winning Atlanta Architecture Design firm.  The next ten years Liz enjoyed working on the creation of hundreds of southern vernacular style homes as Director of Architecture, while still in Atlanta, and then as the founder of the first satellite office.  Liz quickly became focused on Daniel Island, where she has lives with her husband, Mike, the Head Tennis Coach at Charleston Southern University, since 2001.  After working for a Daniel Island design/build company, Liz’s construction experience enhanced her understanding of construction schedules and costs along with perfecting the process of taking homeowners through the selections of their home.  In July of 2009, Liz founded Translations Design Studio, a residential design firm based on Daniel Island, specializing on designing homes and assisting homeowners with their architectural interiors/selections.  Another great strength is assisting homeowners with her architectural guidance before they purchase a lot or home and has joined with Prestige Real Estate Group to offer a turn-key process from beginning to end.  Her goal whether it is design/build, purchase/remodel is making the process enjoyable…while translating your ideas and dreams into reality!!  Liz says after the completion of her projects when seeing her  clients around the island if they say, “ I miss working with you…I am so happy with my home”…that’s when I feel my job is done!
